Someone with JWT ECU << PLEASE HELP!! << Lots of Questions
Hey, I'm contemplating getting a JWT ECU and I was just wondering coming from someone that already bought and installed one. Is it really worth the $600 price tag? I mean I read the JWT website about the ECU, but it didn't really explain hard numbers or anything. So, What are the noticeable differences (JWT vs Stock)? obv the rev limiter (and speed limiter (if you didn't have an SE)) but like vs a MEVI or 00VI setup whats the best HP/TQ bang for your buck?
Also, I'm thinking about getting an 00VI kit as well as the ECU in the future. Should I get the 00vi kit and THEN send out my ECU? or vise versa? If i did the 00VI first would JWT re-program the ECU to (JWT) 2000 Specs?
Thanks in advance!

you can do 000Vi or JWT first, whichever you want. You won't get the full potential of either one without the other. You can feel when the timing starts picking up higher than the stock ecu and the extended rev limiter is nice with a VI too.
If you are a person that likes to tinker I would go with the Emanage ultimate, that way you can get the most out of your car rather than a bolt on ecu which may not have the correct settings for you setup.
You don't get the ecu reprogrammed to 2000 specs. You get their NA program and pick how high you want the rev limiter. I believe most of that info is on their website

If your current ecu is bad you'll need another one, you would need a spare anyways since JWt takes forever to program them. If you want just the jwt you should check the classifieds, that way you can get it much quicker than through jwt.
For the EU, you would still need your stock ecu also.

I have jwt 7200 ecu on my car for quite a while already. it's always a great spirited experience with the ecu. Basically, fuel map is adjusted to lean out a tad more than stock, and about 4-5 degrees more advanced timing is added throughout the rpm range.
I"m getting an Emanage Ultimate installed because my setup is way different than what jwt ecu was intended for. Conclusively, I'll be posting a sale for my jwt ecu in a week or so.
