New 96 Maxima... Comments?

hey wasup guys
bought myself a black 96 gxe today. will post pics as soon as i get a chance. was wondering if you guys thought i got a steal or got ripped.

it was through mutual friends. i got it down to $2500. 109,xxx miles. runs pretty smooth. interior is tan fabric, pretty clean. outside has some work to be done. driver side door was replaced so paint is diff shade and cracking. some general dings and scratches over the car to be expected. nothing major.

anyone know what i can do about the driver side door? i thought about replacing it but it seems difficult. should i get it repainted at a shop but itll prolly cost a buttload.

(p.s. theres a 3"x3" worn out sticker on the back bumper that wont come off... any helpful advice?)

goo-gone for the sticker?

with the bad paint, i would have worked the price down a little bit, but hard to do among friends, i suppose.

Goo-gone is amazing. Use that stufrf and you can get anything off your car. I used it to get the side striping off my car when it started fading. Just be sure to wax it over if youre going to be doing it on metal (which shouldnt be an issue with the bumper). That should get it looking good as new.

I don't know if you want to spend alot of money on the driver door. If you can replace it cheap, then cool, but if not, Id just ignore it. I think 2500 is pretty good for a 109xxx miles car

i paid about 7000USD(in 2003) for my 98 5spd sterling mist on black leather, auto climate control, heated seats, vlsd, pw, pdl, airbags, etc.. with 165k miles, but then again cars up north are more expensive. excellent condition considering the miliage.
