Dropping the max

Ok, yes i know before i even ask this it has been posted a million times.. but i really want to drop my max, iam so sick of the 4x4 wheel well gap with my 17inch 03se wheels.. my max is a 96 btw.. To you guys with shock/spring combos which are the best look, i don't wanna slam it but I love the nice clean look with a minimal gap... I appreciate any advice, also what are some good links for a set?

What do u guys think of progress or tein s tech springs? I want to stay away from eibach's.... Progress claims 1.7/1.3 and tein 2.2 and 1.8, im afraid of anything over 2inches will cause alignment problems though.. but im new to this, just based upon what ive heard

I was looking into getting lowering springs but I decided on getting the ground control coilovers because I was afraid I wouldnt be satisfied with the drop. Coilovers will allow you to adjust your Maxima however low you want it. My ground control coilovers have never given me a problem...
BTW, if you get springs, make sure you get better shocks and struts(common sense)... I had my kyb agx's on backorder and was anxious to see how my car would look dropped, so I installed the coilovers with the stock struts, and within 3 weeks, I was riding like

Maxima1380 i have the same exact rims on my max!! I think they fit our body style so great! I have them painted gray tho. Just wanted them a tad bit darker. It's time for me to drop my max also. How much did you spend on the TEIN coilover basic damper? And more details on the ride quality and handling. I don't really know a lot about coilovers.

Oh and WhiteMaxiam9600 where in birmingham do you stay? It's good to see someone on here from AL. I was beginning to think we didn't have any maxima enthusiast. Maybe you seen me around...dark blue max, mirror tint and 19" racing hart rims. Not sure if Ive seen you. We should meet up!

There is a group deal that have the progress for cheap. Total discounts on all and every suspension setup you want. Everytime I read these threads I want to do coilovers but I dont have the money for them.

Tokiko illuminas with CE springs. Nice amount of drop but not too much. Haven't had problems with with hitting bumpers on small curbs or raised concrete like can happen when lowering too much. Also was easy on the $$$.

I go over speed bumps, speed humps without any problems.
And if there is flooding, you need a good 4-5 inches deep of water before it seeps into the car..also, OEM airbox so no water lock

WhiteMaxima9600, here's one of my favorite pics from last year...
just to give you an idea of the ride height I was on with D2 Coil Overs.
and since shock was ajustable, the ride wasn't too stiff, nor too soft.. just right..

Sweet drop man, if I was that low I could not even get in or out of my drive.... I hope the progress drop will give me a better look than stock, if I ever get them of course! I hate waiting on parts.....

Yo man, it's nice having a high offset huh? I wish I could tuck even more with my 18" wheels.

They are not G35s. They are TSW Vortex with a 40mm offset.
