vibration in the pedals..

alright guys.. so when I start the car (for about 2-3 weeks now) I get vibration through the pedals and its definitely audible for about the first 5-7 minutes of driving. Now after that amount of time passes or the engine fully warms up, it doesn't do it anymore. Thing is, I pretty its the tranny. It resonates literally, you can hear and feel it, when it occurs.
(super timing chain rattle? lol)

But.. what part. I did a test and it does it with or without the clutch in and whether or not its in gear when the RPM's drop to about a grand, regardless.

Any ideas, I'm hoping someone would know. Intelligent answers only, please.

I'm going to throw in the idea of the y-pipe hangers being fooked. The y-pipe is a huge source of vibration for things in the front of the car when it isn't properly secured.

but then why doesn't it do it once the engine has warmed up? I've always gotten vibrations through my pedals at one level or another.

the fact that you can hear it, is what I don't like. Why don't you listen from outside the car sometime and see if you can figure out where it's coming from? Lately, my pedals and shifter have been pretty bad, but i don't think anything of it. Vibrations come from everything. I think my Max has about had it. 250,000 miles and still running. I think.

yeah I can see your anguish, yeah like I said about 3 weeks ago it began and it eventually goes away. Everything "important" on the car is in perfect order, so what is this minor menace. I was thinking and I don't really feel it as much through the clutch as the gas and brake pedals.................weird, possibly placebo. But, it does lead me to believe its not serious because there's no leaks, fluids levels are all fine and what else can ya ask for. So obviously something dumb is causing it, probably my damn exhaust (stock after de-mod). I think the fact that its almost rusted through in a few spots may guarantee thats its that lol.

Links? Is this fairly common? I really need to get some hose clamps to go around my stretched OEM hangers but have been making due with zip-ties (I know...) for now. I have minor vibration but I also have filled mounts....

yeah I watchedand felt the engine and I think the mounts are fine, so perhaps it is the exhaust. a few friends said possible tranny mount as well. who knows, as long as it's not something vital..
