Wheel bearings...?
Wheel bearings...?
Okay so it goes as follows:
Symptoms - wish-woosh sound as I drive, humming when I turn.
Thought it was bald tires (which I have atm) but yesterday I jacked the right side up and wiggled the wheel - there is a bit of free play in all directions... so leads me to believe my wheel bearings are shot
NOW - how much will it cost me to replace both sides alltogether?

If you are getting noises plus lots of play then you need hubs too. If you buy OEM parts you are looking at ~180 for the hub (x2) and $50 for the bearing (x2). Total = ~$460. Thats probably a little low. Id figure close to $500.

Could be due to the wheel rubbing against the wheel well platic thing.
Could be bald tires...
Could be bad bearings judging from what I hear here.
How would I know if my hub is toast w/o jacking up the car?
Yea it is definately your wheel bearings. I just had the same symptoms. I managed to get my knuckle off and knock out the hub.
Knock out your hub and then measure all around where the bearing sits. It should be 42mm all around. I think nissan allows .5mm of play which is what I have but I am not sure can anyone chime in on this? otherwise you will need to buy a new hub
