Struts sitting a long time....problem?
Struts sitting a long time....problem?
I have a set of Tokico blues I bought a million years ago and never used (realized that I needed the AGX's for H&R springs by the time I went to install them). The blues have been sitting in my basement for probably 5 years, moved a couple of times in that time. I pretty much forgot about them and was just going to let them sit there, but a friend of mine now wants to buy them off me.
Is there any reason to think that they would be no good after sitting so long? My gut is suspicious, but when I think about it it seems like there's no real reason that there should be any problems with them. I'm going to sell them to him cheap and I warned him that it could **** him for the installation cost if they're no good, but he wants them because of the price I'm willing to sell them for.

examine them and make sure they look good. hard to tell. I would assume they are fine since they are new an un-usued. Dont see the different between them being in a warehouse for 5 years and your basement.
the real test will be after they are on his car, and they drive around for a while on them.
