26mm vs. 30mm 300zx calipers

Hey guys.....I know the sizes refer to the diameter of the pistons, but just wondering if there is anything different in the modification process when installing either of these two types of calipers. Simply put, is the installation process the same regardless of whether a 26mm or 30mm caliper was used?

Also, can someone please refresh my memory about what is needed for this conversion. I know the Mustang rotors are needed (year?) and the re-location bracket, but I don't know where to get that bracket. Also, the stainless steel lines that would normally fit on our maximas, would they fit the 300zx calipers as well?

thanks in advance for the help

The size refers to the width inbetween the pistons. Not the size of the pistons.

Only the 30mm version would work for the Cobra 13" rotor conversion. 1998 Cobra will work.

You get the bracket AND rotor centering ring from me

$90 shipped for both.

I'm not quite sure where to get the lines. I recommend getting the lines that get rid of the little Z hardline.

The lines you need are the 240 to 300zx conversion lines. Maxima lines will NOT work in the 300zx calipers. The 26 vs 30mm measurement as jeff said is the thickness of the rotor, has nothing to do with the size of the piston in the caliper.

Any cobra rotor from 1994-2004 is the same 13" rotor.
