Got some rims for winter *pic* now need some tires

Here's what i got Altima SE rims 17" now i need help with tires what size to choose


Can someone tell me tire dimentions on this picture

yea but 235 is kinda wide for snow....try some 215/55

Yes. I have those on my 17's right now. IIRC they are the stock tire size on the 350z front 17's.

Blizzaks rock....but they loose their bit after 1/2 their tread is gone

I've had Blizzaks on the 'ole 240SX 4 years in a row (2 different sets). They're awesome tires, but they wear out fast.

This year, I'm trying out the Dunlop Wintersport M3's on the Max ... it's rated #1 (above the Blizzak) on several tire review sites.

Just a thought, but the whole, underlying idea behind winter tires is to provide better traction on a snow or ice covered surface, and in the extreme, to avoid an accident. To me it's a little foolish to go to all the cost and trouble of winter rims and tires and then not get the best tires you can afford (and maybe skimp on the bling (rims). Also along these lines, narrow tread will outperform wide tread on snow or ice. That why I got a set of OEM 15x6.5 rims for my Blizzaks. Steelies are OK and cheap, sawblades nice but more $$$.
I'm a lot less concerned about styling for a few months each year than I am about staying out of the body shop (and hospital) and about keeping my insurance rates down.
Just a thought.

you want good winter tire man...get bridgestone winter slalom...they have square thread patern on them, they are awsome in the snow and i guess ice is ice...so not too fast on icey roads(in general)

Agreed, I picked up 4 OE S14 SE wheels locally with Dunlop Winter Sport M3 Tires (205/55-16) for $200, couldnt be happier with the winter tire purchase.

True....I have about 4 years on my Blizzak, and they have lost a lot of their "bite" But it's still better than my summer tires with their *cough* M+S rating.
