V Boost Sensor
V Boost Sensor
I hit a deer a while back and smashed the hood on my Max along with the V Boost sensor. When I went to the Nissan dealer to get a replacement, I asked what it did. No one at the dealership including the Service Manager and the mechanics new what it did. They just said that when they go bad they cause drivability problems.....(especially if the go bad because they were smashed by a deer) . Does anyone know what this thing actually does?

Absolute Pressure Sensor
COMPONENT DESCRIPTION
The absolute pressure sensor is connected to the MAP/BARO
switch solenoid valve by a hose. The sensor detects ambient barometric
pressure and intake manifold pressure respectively, and
modifies the voltage signal received from the ECM. The modified
signal will then be returned to the ECM. As the pressure increases,
the voltage rises.
thats the real name for the Boost Sensor in the front...thats take from the FSM
