Budget B pipe - has anyone bought the LSS exhaust (budget) b-pipe with out resonator?? what does the resonator actually do? will it make it louder with out the resonator? Thanks

Get the b-pipe with the resonator, unless of course, you are a noise fanatic and are hard of hearing.

 

welll.. if it sounds a little ricey, but it's more HP for LESS money... i would probably go with sounding a little ricey... and not get the resonator.

It will make more horsepower than stock with the resonator. See the dyno on www.motorvate.ca

I think any gains in hp as a result of not having the resonator would be negligible. The downside of buying the b-pipe without the resonator is that you might have buyer's remorse later.

I wouldn't buy one without the resonator but then I am not into noise.

At any rate, I strongly suspect you drive an autotragic so who cares!

 

Ummm.. on that Motorvate.ca site.. it says "With the Y-pipe, and the B-pipe (without resonator)"... i thought you said it was WITH the resonator...

Auto-Tragic.. what are you kidding me?! haha I would NEVER buy this car as an AUTO.... cuz they're WAY TOO SLOW.. and NO FUN!!

Anyway, im prob going to go with the resonator because I dont want my max to sound like a Civic.. but if I'm going to spend the 200 bucks I'd like to get atleast 5 hp... so i'm still considering going with NO resonator
