Just chaged my plugs went with the NGK No. BKR5E-11. I Gapped at .043. I was just wondering where the car should idol at. when I start it up it goes to 1 Rpms Then after driving it it idols at less then 1. Just seemed to idle fast on starting up. I had put in Bosch plat last month but see the posts and Changed to these, Thanks for any advice.

 

When I first read the title I thought you were going to ask about when the next season of American Idol was coming out. You shouldn't have to gap your plugs. The car should idle around 700 when warm.

 

650-700 when warmed up is the norm. in D

I'd say your a litttle low. There's a thread somewhere on here that tells you how to adjust your idle. Look in the how to's.

yea when warm it should idle as they said at about 750. When you first start your car it is usually alitle higher. i see 1000 on start up alot.

 

It also depends on whether it's an auto or a manual... chiltons has different values for idle speed based on transmission type.

 

around 500 -750rms
