Car turns off while driving HELP!

Over the past month my car randomly shuts off while I am driving. It also has shut down while the car is warming up in "P". I realize that it has to be a fuel issue or a spark issue, and I have narrowed it down to spark. The reason I know it is the spark/think it is, because I cheked my fuel pressure gaige once the car shut off on a few occasions and the pressure is holding.

If anyone else has any speculation on what the issue may be, please give me your input. My personal diagnosis is the "Electronic Control Module" or the "ignition Module" or does the Maxima have a coil pack? I have a feeling that these two items are pricy, so I was hoping for some inout before I spend all this money.

Thank you

i had this happen when i first bought the car...i'm not really sure what fixed it because i did a full tune-up. I changed the fuel filter, air filter, and the sparks and problem solved...so change the sparks.

Does the car actually shut off while you are moving, or when you are stopped?

Before U tear down the engine and get stuck. I recommend you check the Mass Air Flow Sensor and the Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor. There the only to things that can cause the engine to shut down. Along with it check all your vaccume lines for damages and PCV Valve located under the throttle body. Also Check for excessive carbon build up aroung the throttle body and intake manifold. Besure that the Fuel Pump and injectors is working properly, which the pump is under the rear passenger seat. Thats the only things that stop your engine without a check engine light. The Ignition system would hit off a check engine light or wouldn't allow you to fire up the car. A coolant sensor does play a part it this situation either the engine will run lean or rich that would also hit off a check enigine light with rough idle. Just check those things out.
