Straight Pipe or close to it?

I was just wondering if anyone on here has ever straight piped(from the headers back) their max or maybe just a resonator? I wouldnt do this, too loud for my community, but I am just wondering if it has ever been done? Theoretically, what kind of power increase would you get?

I got a straight through muffler, and its quite annoying on the highway especially around 2.5k rpm.

I dont plan on doing it, just wondering if anyone has. I plan on a straight pipe with a magnaflow round muffler and maybe a resonator. Along with a Magnaflow tip of course...Thanks for the replys!

i have:
- cattman headers
- custom enterprise polished straight racing pipe
- cattman catback

thoughts: gee whiz ? doesnt sound any different than with stock cat ? not sure this is what you are talking about ? i was hoping for louder, more aggressive, some sort of killer v6 exhaust tone.

It sounds good but im looking for something more viscious! the racing pipe is resonated though, might need to try a non resonated one to see how that sounds.
