What's up with my shifting?

So recently I noticed that my car does not shift correctly. Basically any time the tranny is about to shift the car goes neutral for a second and revs higher. Say it's about to shift at 5k it'll hold and rev to 6k. I noticed tonight it will keep rising unless I pull off the gas and let it shift. My ks is messed up so that will be fixed soon. Is that my cause or what? I wouldnt think misfires since it has done it in every gear. What's up?

Check your trans fluid, is it burnt up and black? If you have the time and can deal with a mess, I'd take the pan off and check to see how much material is caught on the magnets. Any CEL or trans codes?

Sounds like the tranny is slipping...def check the oil to see what it is.

Definitely sounds like slipping. Possibly on it's way out

Mine will occasionally act something like that when it's cold, but will shift fine when it's warm. Mine also likes to rev WAY too high when it downshifts then has to settle itself down once it's in gear

I had ks and emission something. Nothing that I would think effect that. I was hoping it was just the cold plus the ks. I've kind of hesitant on this 00vi swap now if my tranny is going out....

When that happend to me, it was the TPS sensor, but since you don't have the code, I don't know what's up.

Well it hasnt been code tested in a month or so. Maybe I developed that. I think I'll still do my 00vi and then go from there.

My Max acts the same way, that's why I drive with the drop resistor on all the time. If I don't the car will rev way up in 1st gear and finally shift. It's probly your solenoids, thats the code my car is pulling.
