EGR issues

hey all, well i recently replaced a clogged cat and turns out it screwed my entire EGR system. This includes the BPT valve and the solenoid as well as the valve.

What i need a hand with is to find a photo or engine diagram showing how the egr solenoid and bpt valve look to show my parts guys. Ive tried google, and my nissan dealers but to no avail. Would anyone happen to have a link for these? much thanks.

Actual picture of the EGRC solenoid valve (Nissan part # 14956-31U10)is in this thread:

diagram of all EGR related parts:

Sounbwoy has probably the most informative EGR related thread with very good pictures. I actually think it should be added to the stickies:

The solenoid is a pretty easy job to do yourself. just make sure the engine is cool and use an open end wrench. I did mine over the weekend, and my 10-05 code went away. I'm not sure about the other stuff though. Maybe you can try replacing the solenoid valve first and then resetting the ECU to see if your codes return.

Ive been battling my EGR code 03 02 for a year.... i took it to nissan to see what they said, and they said EGR is clogged, i need a new water pump, and fuel system cleaned for 1400$ and he took off 250 to help me out (what a guy) so i told my friend who is a mechinic at Ford and he took it in and found 1 bad clogg and installed a new water pump and cleaned my fuel system for 550$

Now 2 days later the codes are back and i dont know what else to do?

Look at the link I posted to Sounbwoy's thread. More than likely if you do everything that he did in that post, your problem will be solved

Which code did you get? 10-05? It's funny that you say that, I think I actually broke my solenoid valve while forcing my hand in there to retorque my knock sensor . After I was done with the KS, the 10-05 EGRC code came up within 5 miles. The location of the solenoid valve makes it even more of a pain to get at the KS!! If you have the 10-05 code, do the simple things first; check to make sure that you reconnected the wiring harness to the egrc solenoid valve. If you still have the light then you may have accidentally broken the valve as I did

Sounds like it's time to do some "crud" cleaning.

So what symptoms car wise did you guys have when your cars were pulling the EGR and IACV codes? mine has both and it runs hard, slow to accelerate, the motor revvs high on the highway (as if its strained) and i have a nasty flutter in my motor by the throttlebody and intake manifold that is now the lowest tone of noise when the engine is running
