Would it be better or worse to increase from 205/65/15 to 215/60/15 or even 225/60/15 on the steel rims? Thanks.

not sure but get low pros! i made the mistake of getting taller tires and now i have lots of tire flex. i swithced from 205 to 215 but the tires are too tall, major loss in performance, does fill the wheel gaps nicely though.

Tire flex is when you make a turn really fast, the tires will bend causing some sort of mushy feelings..

Sorry, no pics unless by drawing it in MS paint.

stick 2 205/65/15 for the steel rims...
i think 215/60/15 might work but maybe ur speedometer might be off..plus the steel rim is very narrow..i think its 6'' wide..

I think most 215 60 15 can fit 6' as the minimal rim width.
Speedometer even with stock tires isn't 100% accurate.
