Could somebody tell me what pulley sizes run what psi? I'm looking for 8 or 9 psi when I get it. Also, wasn't there somebody who was going to start making the aluminum replacement pullies for the crappy Stillen plastic pulley? Who, when, where? TIA

Whoa there.....looking in your signature it seems that you have an automagic transmisison. I seriously doubt that you can run that boost without getting don's vb mod (which i see youre gettin) and a high stall torque converter. Even with those two items I'm doubtful your tranny will take all that extra power. Unless someone thinks different. However, there is one person who knows exactly what it would take for an auto tranny to take all that power.
His name is Don in Texas

3.48 is about 7-7.5 psi
3.33 or lower should give you what you're looking for.

The aluminum idle pulley replacement is being looked into by Phil96SE.

Also, id recommend the VB mod, tranny cooler, and maybe look into an oil cooler. The torque converter will help you RUIN your auto faster, but youll get better launches Thats up to you..

Good luck

Well, I plan on getting the VB mod and tranny cooler. I don't know about the oil cooler. Depends on space. I do plan on getting a torque convertor and I don't really care about destroying the tranny. If I blow up my auto, it'll give me reason to put a manual tranny in. (I know it's a lot more money to convert, but whatever) Maybe see if the new Max's 6 speed fits... I'm way too sick of the auto to give a ****. Only thing I like about it is that I do a LOT of stop and go driving in my small town.

Depending on how you mount the tranny cooler, youll have room. If you dont care about destroyin the tranny, go with a 3.25 pulley and a high-stall TC.. do the VB.. tranny cooler.. id do the oil cooler anyways. [im lookin into it currently]

You can take the pulley & the oil cooler with you onto the 5spd swap. The swap should cost about the price of a used SC..

Anyways.. damn, id love to see what you run with a 3.25 ahhaha .. oh, you might need a bigger fuel pump/fuel injectors.. colder plugs too. I'm runnin moderate (3.48) boost..

anyways, good luck n let us know, sounds like fun (altho expensive ) ..

Well, how should I mount it so that I have room for both? And about how much will an oil cooler run me? The Stillen kit is $450 and I only want to pay half that for something that I've heard will only lower temps about 10 degrees...

I am NOT running 12 psi on stock internals (That's the one pulley size I know...) I mean, I don't PLAN on destroying my tranny, but if I only get one more year out of it, I won't be crying. And if it starts acting funny, I may just take the S/C off until I have enough money to properly play with...

So what is that? about $2200 $2500? And is that including installation, because me and my friends could do that... I know a guy who rebuilds and installs trannies for a living...

I was told the S/C comes with a Vortech fuel pump?

I think I'll wind up going with the 3.48" pulley, too. Or maybe just leave it stock size. It's not that expensive to replace it later on, just annoying to take apart. So if I do get the 5 speed and/or a new engine (something I'll be looking into, so I can run S/C with NOS)I'll be able to add more boost accordingly. Know where I could get pullies cheap?

Ok, im not gonna go thru the hefty task of quoting. Just more scroll anyways. here goes:

I'm not sure about the Stillen Oil Cooler yet. I'm lookin into other options. What I do know is that the Stillen cooler uses a nut (or something) on yer middle bar infront of the radiatior.. Also, i think B&M makes some? Need to call Summit & find out sometime. I've been slacking.

If you want to leave room for the option, put the tranny cooler to one side, so you have access to that middle bar. I need to get more details before i can be 100% positive tho.

The SC does come with a vortec pump, im not sure it can handle that kind of boost. I was just suggesting it anyways, youre better off at that point posting a thread, and asking someone who DOES run 3.25 what kinda fuel pump they use, or try a search.

The 5spd swap should run 2500+ .. depending on who you know & where you go, general real-life bs. If you guys can do it locally, thats awesome. I'd love to have that option when my tranny finally goes. You can sell the VB & maybe tranny cooler to make some money back?

Finally, pullies, i think u can get those either used on here, or from Vortech.. don't know of many people (off the top of my head) that have 3.25's tho..

Misc note: id love to run NOS + SC .. still breakin it in with my tranny tho, hope the word breakin doesnt turn out to be a pun. A few other SC'rs have the NOS+SC thots floatin around in their minds as well.. so, i guess stay tuned ?
