Any codes?

Well, basic maintenence, like plugs, fuel filter, air filter, and depending on wear: brakes, belts, tires, etc. Probably knock sensor too.

It really depends on how the car was treated throughout it's life.

Don't worry about a knock sensor. They always trip a code, but never the light and usually doesn't affect performance (in ths application). Maxima's are usually a very reliable car, and mine has almost 200K on it, I have done recenlty the brakes, water pump, and an egr control solenoid. They tend to not be like the average car that after X amount of miles will start to have failures. I think on your year, the ignition coils are about all that is common. GL, I do like the new Maxima's too. I wish they weren't so expensive!

FYI, a knock sensor detects detonation and sends a signal to the PCM, which adjusts timing and fuel accordingly. It is mounted under the intake in the valley of the V
