Help with tire size

Hey I tried searching but the function is down for me everytime I try now..

I just got two tires from discounttiredirect to replace the aging ones on front. I've got stock sawblades and the tire size is 215/60/15
but they shipped me 205/65/15. I assume I should just send them back right? Even if they fit the rears will still be stock size... Or would it be ok to put these on?

Really? all the tires on my car are 215/60's... so those are the wrong ones? I'm confused, cuz I went and checked tirerack and they pulled up 215/60's for my car.

Steel, no these are alloys, I have a 96 with the sawblades on the SE's

some might say it's ok to put them on, but I would return the tires and get the right ones. And since they ****ed up, make sure they pay for the return shipping.

sawblades = the design of the alloy wheel's spokes which are on the 95 and 96 SEs.

Steelies = steel rim (with plastic hubcap)

psu2fan: I'm pretty sure your tire size is correct. Look under the lid in your center console to double check you're using the right tire size

SE's have 215/60-15,
GXE/GLE's have 205/65-15

what are you talking about? if you don't even know the stock tire size for the rims, don't respond.

they sent you the incorrect ones. contact them and let them know. they should cover shipping charges if it is their error.

Yeah DTD's website does not distinguish btwn gxe/gle/se, at least for that year. Although they do have a 16inch option.. I don't think the max came with 16's in '96. I'll correct them

They'll work, that's what I'm running on my rims right now (same width and size as stock sawblades). A little narrower, that's about it. Should be roughly the same height.

If I'd gotten 4 tires I prolly would have kept them, but the csr was cool about everything and he's cross shipping the right tires.. oh and they gave me free return shipping (as they should) so I'm pretty happy. He didn't seem too interested in correcting the flaw on their tire size search tho. Oh well.
