OK sadly to say my clutch start'd slipin 2 weeks ago, then yesterday it just decide to take a crap on me... actually i think its the master cylinder because the clutch doest have any pressure... anyways i'm going to replace the clutch to a (5th gen)and the master cylinder... and i remember'd lookin at ppls mod list sayin they replace there clutch line to a SS clutch line??? ahhh what doest that really do? i saw it on ebay for like $30... but like whats the benefits of that???

You should never have to replace it again. Also it's cheaper than the oem clutch line.

 

Anyone have any news on the GD SS Clutch Lines. I made a post and PMed the creator and no response . I am committed to purchasing SS clutch lines, but that GD is the only way I want to go. There is a new deal that replaces the 2 lines (including hard line) and makes it one big SS line, but I do not want that. Someone said that it puts some vibration into the pedal and also agreed that a hardline may actually be better than a braided SS line.

I ordered a full 5th gen kit yesterday and a new flywheel, getting the SS line tomorrow from a fellow dot org'er and then gonna swap it at a friends shop.

The SS line that replaces both the rubber and the hard line is the way to go. It does not put any vibration into the pedal. Its a good way to get rid of the stupid stock line. The hardline gets in the way, and its WAY easier to bleed the system with one SS line because you only have one bleeder valve.

 

Thanks for the response. I think I am going to go with the single line option. Any other opinions. I would like to gather a little more information. I got to search for that GD thread about it. I think it was $30 shipped.

Do you have an SS clutch line on yours? You didn't notice an increase in pedal vibrations?

 

Dont have any vibration in my pedal. Also driven three other 5-speed maximas with the same SS line and they didnt have any vidration either.
