drop resistor mod installed

just did the dr mod with wot switch tonight. 1-2 shifts are great but it seems like it launches from a complete stop much harder. is this the mod or am i just imagining?. it seems like the downshifts are harder too. how do those of you with the dr mod make use of the overdrive? i dont drag or track or anything so im not too concerned with 1/4 mile times, i just did it for the fun of it, and bc its so cheap and simple to do (3 dollars for the micro switch at Radio Shack). i highly recomend it to anyone with auto transmition, just be sure to get a tranny cooler.

Not worth doing, unless:

1. your car is paid off
2. want to drag race or require more respectable 1/8 or 1/4 times
3. like doing unnecessary damage to your slowmobile tranny

I wouldn't do the DR mod without installing a WOT switch or a manual toggle. Driving around with it like that all the time isn't a good idea.

i do have a wot switch. and tranny cooler. and the mod actually keeps the tranny from slipping, causing it to wear less much like a valve body install does.

--quote from Jime (innovator of dr mod):
I have used the DR for 3 years now on 3 different cars, 95, 97 and 2k2 and I firmly believe it can only help save the trans when used at WOT only. Did I say make sure you use it at WOT only? Sorry this cannot be stressed enough. It has not claimed any transmissions but I do believe it has saved a few. Its basically a free substitute that shifts even faster and saves your transmission even more than a VB Mod.
