Has anyone used body parts from Pershing auto body? They are all over ebay. Some of there parts come prepainted too. I need some rear body parts for my 97, like a bumper and a trunk lid. Can anyone comment on there quality? About doing business with them?
Thanks in advance,

Considering that they are aftermarket parts, they MIGHT not fit perfectly. If you can, try to find some of those parts from Org members.
I got my rear bumper from them after I got rear ended and it fit perfectly. I just ordered a front bumper from them so hopefully it fits the same way the rear bumper did.
Thanks so much for the replies. Has anybody bought some painted parts from them? I need to get a trunk lid from somewhere, probably an org member. Anyone got a Pearl White one?
NYC, how was the thinkness of the rear bumper? Was it near OEM quality? This is the exact part I need because I got rearended also.
Thanks again,

I spoke with someone at Pershing about the paint they use, & they said that they use Dupont paint. As for the body parts they're all CAPA certified.
I was thinking of driving down, since they're onle a few hours away, to get a rear bumper.

good luck with the trunk lid matching. On my old 95 Maxima, I bought another trunk lid from another member here, and it didn't even match. Pearl white is PITA to match.

It was pretty much exactly like OEM as far as fit and finish. You would never be able to tell that it's not OEM. As far as the quality of the bumper itself, I couldn't really tell you. It seems to be sturdy but I wouldn't know how good it actually is unless I get rear ended again.Originally Posted by Gears & Crosses

Could also try to contact some folks who have won items from them on eBay. I've found most folks to be pretty helpful when I've asked them questions.

dont buy painted parts, even if the company painted the part exactly to manufaturers spec's, your car has been exposed to sun/rain and all kinds of road crap like tar or even tree sap, all that stuff fades and oxidizes your paint so your best bet would be buy that part from them and take it to a shop to color match your bumper to your paint
Now this is what I call feedback. All excellent advice!!! I ordered my parts today. I will try and let you know how it turns out.
This site rocks,

P.S. Thanks Red96MaxSE for your idea. I hadn't thought of emailing buyers.

for me its ok. Even if it doesn't match "slightly" since labor and paint will cost more than the bumper itself if taken to a shop. So i'll just make it a bit easier to myself.
Just to let you guys know,
I recieved my rear bumper absorber from Pershing yesterday. There was a little delay on shipping this as this was an actual auction item and I had to wait for it to close. This piece is the one that goes inside the rear bumper. It is a near perfect reproduction in shape but it is not the same in strength. It is about 1/2 as strong as the factory piece. This absorber costs $1 and $20 to ship. I'll let you be the judge.
