Coilover Coments

In the near future i am planning to replace my aftermarket shocks and struts withs a coilover kit. Just wondering which kits would be best for my car or have anyone who has a kit what type of ride does it give. Imput or coments anyone.

JIC FLT-A2 - stiff/sporty
D2 Racing Sport - stiff/sporty
KSport Kontrol - stiff/sporty
Tein Basic - fairly stiff/sporty uses stock (rubber) mounts
Boss Chen - fairly stiff/sporty
Ground Control (sleeve type, does not include dampers)

Much more information in the advanced suspension forum.

I got D2's and I am quite happy with them..
If you are going to go play with coil overs, do NOT get cheap sleeve kits...

I've got the Tein Basics on my 4th gen. Awesome ride and response. Just don't drop the car lower than 2", I am also using Eibach camber bolts up front. I would recommend them to anyone. I live in NYC and I've had them on for about 6k miles, great ride. But make sure you get an alignment and use a camber bolt and/or kit of some kind when you install any coilover or lowering springs.

So would it matter if my max has 20'' rims mounted on it, i wanted the whole setup i should have been much clearer coilover suspension all in one. So all i would have to do is just lock and load.

That's what i thought too, i'm just wondering why they put 8/9 on VIP. Is it b/c VIP style is slammed to the ground? Product says

"The FLT-A2 VIP has all the same features as the FLT-A2 but made for luxury vehicles. The FLT-A2 VIP is designed for a comfortable ride while still retaining the same handling performance and quality found in the FLT-A2. It also allows the vehicle to have a very low drop along with larger diameter wheels without affecting the compression and rebound travel of the dampers. Rigorous testing of the dampers insures that comfort and handling qualities are met while giving the driver that very important VIP stance, improve handling, and gain that agressive look."
