So I broke my car, part 2

If you haven't seen my other thread, please read it to get a background on what I've been doing.

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=502347

Anyway, after changing the plugs, cleaning the TB, and buying a new MAF I still had the problem. Today I took the TB off completely and thoroughly cleaned it, and removed the IACV and made everything inside it squeaky clean as well. I went to take it for a drive and was initially ecstatic as it pulled like a **** all the way to redline. After a few hard pulls, however, it started hesitating again at around 4k rpm. The power loss isn't nearly as bad as it used to be but it's definitely still there.

The things I have left to try:

TPS - Kinda confused on this one. I have a multimeter to test it but my tps only has one connector on top, not 2 like shown in this writeup: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=502347 Can anyone shed some light on why this might be, and how to test it?

Fuel Filter - I told my mom about the problem and she said the same thing happened to her old car when the fuel filter went bad. I've also heard this may be the problem in email conversations with org members.

Deep Creep - Bought a can of this a while ago and could try using it if my problem is related to the carbon buildup in my intake manifold.

Intake temp sensor - Since the car only started hesitating today after a few hard pulls I thought maybe it had soemthing to do with the car warming up. I'm interested in that reistor mod that sends a good reading automatically, anyone have info on that?

Anything you guys can come up with would also be very helpful. Let me know what you think is my best bet to try next. Thanks.

I have a multimeter so I'm going to go ahead and test all the coils. What reading should you get on the meter to show that the resistance in infinite?

fuel filter would be a good thing to try

if you get a copy of the FSM it'll tell you how to test the TPS in the EL section.

i had a problem with hesitation about 2 months ago. I replaced plugs, pcv, fuel filter, oil change, and even a different set of coil pacs. it turned out to be a big clog in the fuel line before one of my injectors. a couple of bottles of system cleaner later the car finally fixed itself.

-Definetly change the fuel filter (it's a PITA @ times, but needs to be done)
-Run Deep Creep and pour some in the gas tank (or better yet, get Techron injector cleaner)

I too recenetly did a big tune-up (spark-lugs, tb cleaning, fuel filter, pcv..etc.)

AND after running seafoam, and techron, i finally got my power back (even though i still need a thorough IM and IACV cleaning)

I'm definitely gonna change the fuel filter and run deep creep through the manifold either this week if I get off work or this weekend. Driving the car today, there actually seemed to be a huge improvement in low end power, but still that hesitation at near full throttle. I think I may have freed up a few horses with cleaning the TB, IACV, and the new PCV. Just can't wait to get them all back

YES!!!!!!!!!

Fixed it tonight, changed out the fuel filter and it runs like a dream. Do you guys think I should go with the "don't fix it" approach now with the deep creep or should I just go for it? I'm definitely hungry for more horsepower as all this cleaning has made it pull substantially harder...

And now I can get my y-pipe installed as soon as my next paycheck comes... YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

sure, deep creep definetly wouldn't hurt (although don't except miracles)
