I know this topic has been brought up a few times, but I could never figure out if fuel injector cleaners were good or bad for the car. I have 130,000 miles on my 95' maxima, so I was thinking maybe it would be a good idea. So just get one that you add to your gas or somethin and it cleans it?

if you are using high octane gas (91 or higher), you don't really need it. but it definatly wouldn't hurt either. my personal choices are valvoline and slick 50. just pour it in on an empty tank and fill up with gas and you're set.

Actually, various people have thrown MIL codes after using injector cleaner. I believe Nissan recommends NOT using aftermarket cleaners, but they do sell one themselves.

Daniel B. Martin will recommend against using a fuel injector cleaner "just because," although he has had good luck with using them to unclog fuel injectors when they are a KNOWN problem.

Sorry for speaking for you, DBM, just thought I'd save you the trouble.
