Intercooler/CAI question
Anyone use an intercooler on his Max? What kind? How much?
As for the CAI question, I've read where aftermarket CAI's are placed near the grille. Wouldn't you worry about "crap" hitting the filter and damaging it? Maybe water from rain/puddles being sucked into it? I understand we want the air to be cooler hitting the CAI, but I'm a little lost on placement.
Any recommendations of the CAI?
Thnx

Ok, the CAI reroutes a filter to the "outside" of the car. It is located in the driver's side fenderwell, which if you have a 97-99 Max without Fogs, then you can look right up into the location where the filter would go. It is not a concern for water though. If you drive in 2-3 feet deep water daily
, then I don't think this is for you. But daily rain or hard raining will not be digested by your engine. Ask around, everyone that I know that has one loves it to death. Post back if you want more info.

It that how your CAI is modded? I have a 1998 Max, SE. Do you have a link to the site where you got your CAI?
