Speed Sensor? OBD Problem!

Hey guys, long story short...

Check engine light came on, determined it was my speed sensor, replaced sensor in transmission, light turned off...month later light back on....again says speed sensor, take it to dealer, they have it three days...light goes off they say they took speedo apart and cleaned connection...that was a week ago. Light came back on tonight. i'm guessing speed sensor again...any comments/suggestions?

I think i'm gonna take it back to the dealer and ask them to actually do somethin this time instead of lyin to me and just turnin my light off...if anyone has had a problem with their speed sensor or knows of any thing that i could do that might be source of the problem please let me know! thank you.

The only thing that will fix this code is a new/different speedo head. I bought one out of a wreck to fix mine once.

Your old one is not operating properly. I don't really know why, it is not a terminal cleaning issue or bad connection.

I just know that a new one will fix it.

The speedo head is simply the speedo section of the gage cluster.

You can swap the entire gage cluster if you find a good used one, it's easier.

But if you must puchase a new one, buy only the speedo.

i've been having a CEL for my speed sensor for a while now... my speedo dont work well.... it stays at zero when i take off and after a while it just jumps to the speed that i am going and start working... or sometime i just tape on the cluster and it works... so you mean a new gauge cluster can fix the CEL for the speed sendor?
