EGR hose question *pic*

Does this nipple from the EGR valve connect to the EGR BPT (hose in green).

The hose circled in green is not connected to anything. This is looking over the driver's side fender with the plenum off.

Also, the I cut the coolant line that runs through the back corner of the plenum. Can I just replace this with line that is heat resistant rubber tubing or is there something in particular I need to look for?

Do any hoses from the gallery or otherwise just remain open?

Thanks for any help.

yeah the egr valve does connect to the little valve above it so that hose hangin loose should just connect to it. I dont recall any line coming off the upper valve being open.
i hate that stupid *** gallery but its not THAT confusing...its just a mess.

Looking at the FSM is a whole lot more confusing, when I went back out to the car and was able to put names to some of those hoses it made alot more sense.

Any thoughts on the coolant lines?

when it comes to tubing i really dont know what can be used for what. All I've been told is any tubing is fine for vacuum use hehe.
isnt that line that goes through the manifold and loops back around to the TB pre-formed? I might still have mine off my USIM if you want it....just a thought.

On the coolant log where the feed and return are for the TB and IM just U them together or cap them off. 1000x easier and keeps the IM cooler. Regular heater hose is what youll want.

I know this isn't in depth but could you explain that a bit more.

The two bigger ones that go through the back of the plenum or the line to the TB?

I bet it really is 1,000 times easier those were a bastard. I still have to get the clamp off of the driver's side "log". It's at an odd angle.

Definetely connect the hose marked in green to where you circled.

I believe your talking about the U shaped hose on the back of the UIM. IIRC that is a 3/8" hose which you can use a heater hose for.

Bypassed the TB/Plenum log/return line.

I have a 1.1K idle, I have heard of high idles after cleaning TBs and I did clean pretty much EVERYTHING so is that more than likely my source or would it be removing those coolant passages.

Give it some time. If after a day or 2 goes by and its still high, go play with the screw on the IACV.

Appreciate your help in this thread.

Oddly enough when I went to get carb and choke cleaner there was miles of heater hose in all sizes to found, but the "log" is ghey so no regrets.

Hey sorry to butt into this one but it goes along with Fr33way's post. If I'm going to be using a PF tb is it best to just use a universal t and just connect them together to make a solid loop?
