local part stores ~$50. tight space but 3 10mm bolt for the water pump cover. then 3 10mm bolts for the water pump. set asside a good amount of time. Have some RTV sealant handy for the water pump cover when your putting it back on.

Did the water pump and timing chain access covers change on the 1997 models???? Mine has four bolts on both covers and three bolts holding the pump in... set aside a few hours and be sure that you dig thru the posts here for the write up, I can not imagine trying to replace one with out seeing it on here..

Just replaced mine maybe 3 months ago. About 50-60 bucks from Advanced auto. No kidding about the time- I sort of took it easy and was working on this for about 5-6 hrs. A shop will probably hit you up for about 4 hrs.

its the limited space that will get you. A good idea now that I think about it, unbolt that motor mount there, and place a block of wood on a jack. Put in under the oil pan and you can push the motor up and down and get some extra room if needed.
