Removing KS, by not replacing right away?

I am home from college for winter break and I ordered a KS when I was back at school, but it never showed at my apartment before I left for home. I was going to install the KS at home over break but now I don't have it so I can't. My question is, can I remove the old/bad KS now and just leave the connector there and then just put in the new one when I get back at school(would be about 3 weeks or so later), or should I remove and replace at the same time?

I think you'd be better off with bad knock sensor than no knock sensor connected.

i did it. extreme lost of power but i dont think any damage what so ever. possible corrision but nothing hardcore.

I have 30 mins to do my first KS, i got it out in 15mins and wasn't able to get it back in, in 15 mins. so i drove home 300miles. Waited the next day and had little hands put it in EASY 2 mins and it was nice and tight. Everything was good.

If the knock sensor is entirely dead, you're not going to notice any difference unhooking it from the car and not having one.

sure you can ride with it off... but what would you benefit from? nothing. just leave it on and wait.

It would be better that you leave the KS on.

Time to put in a 470 ohm resistor

j/k... I rather have a half-dead knock sensor than no sensor at all
