temp disabling FR brake
temp disabling FR brake
this may sound dumb, but i am in a predictament right now.
about 30k miles ago, i installed brembos with axis metal master pads and oem calipers.
for whatever reason the front right pad is starting to grind the rotor..no early pad screeching just a grinding and i can kind of see it start to damage the rotor.
at this time, i am on winter break from school, dont have anywhere to work on my car, and dont have the money to replace the pads..let alone the whole brake system.
is there a way to temporary disable the front right brake system? my intentions would be to be able to drive my car without damaging the rest (scoring the rotors, excess heat freezing the calipers, etc) until i get a few paychecks and my tools back

come on bro - get some of the $14 lifetime pads from autozone and take the 20 minutes required to change it. If you have absolutely ZERO access to any tools then spend another $20 and go buy 3 sockets and a breaker bar and get it done. It's been 40+ degrees every day in bloomington indiana for the past 3 weeks... and it's supposed to be 45-60 degrees for the rest of the week.
disable one of the front brakes... not the best idea I've ever heard.

better grind those rotors or walk. and next time get some Hawk HPS (i get discounts if needed). great stopping and gentle on rotors.
