peace maxima.org (4th gens)

My sister recently bought my 96 maxima. I have enjoyed the org for a good 2 years. I have learned so much and I have done things that I didn't know I could do. It's really been great. I now own a 94 BMW 325is. The mods are going to be very much alike (clear corners, red/clear tails)... I am waiting on those parts to come in the mail. I am also going to put 16inch BMW 328is sport package wheels on it (sooner or later).. I want you to all know that I still love the 4th gen maximas and will def. have one again someday down the road..

I think the Maxima is still faster than the BMW 325is but really, which is faster?? Maxima 3.0L v6 VS. BMW 325is 2.5L inline 6

I wish I could of sold my Max to a relative, but that would of been impossible. Well anyways you don't have to have a Maxima to be on the Org!

Id say the inline...look at what the skylines and other inline cars push out. Just a thought tho...! Depends on weight of the car really, because I think the power output would be right around the same.

Moving on isnt always bad, especially when its a bimmer!! Haha. Love 'em. Have fun!

Does it have TCS if so it shouldnt be too bad, my old catera did quite well in the snow with TCS, one year i threw snows on her and that thing might have been as good as my I30 in the snow

The beamer has the real wheel drive advantage. But the maxima is way better in my opinion.

If you have up to the 325ix that is. If it was M3 forget about it because the car has more horses by about like 30. This is between the 95's and 99's for both vehicles.

The fawk............ The RB is turbocharged. Never the less that BMW 2.5 pushes out good power, too bad they're not as reliable as the VQ.

There are RB N/A variants, but stock they're panzy..

Actually I was thinking of the bigger BMW engines that have to have scheduled maintenance visits to the dealer.

Your engine, the M50 isn't bad at all plus you have VVT.

The Maxima is faster than the BMW and maintenance would be less.

Good luck with the BMW!

However, its a switch I wouldn't have made.

Maxima is definitely faster, my buddy has a 328i.. But, the BMW is RWD.. so.. That makes up for it.. Good luck and have fun with it.

My friend's 328i took me off the line by 1.5 cars, but after that we were dead even. If it were a 325i, he might still get me on the launch, but the max would slowly reel it in.

I have intake and exhaust and I went with a BMW 325i (my friend) and he didn't have a chance and it was from a dig.. I have I/Y/E though. I doubt a 328i would be much trouble either. Also keep in mind that the maxima responds EXTREMELY well to bolt-ons and many cars will not see the same benefits at all. Still nice ride man.

This was done at the strip.

Inline motors seem to have more torque for the same displacement as a V6. But the V6's are smoother and fit in the engine bay easier. Your BMW will handle much better in the twistys compared to your Max. By all means, keep up the maintainance on the Beemer!! When something breaks it cost more $$$$ than the VQ!! Enjoy

I-6's (along with V-12's and flat-6's) are perfectly balanced so they are smoother in general than V6's.

my dad and I ran his 99 323i up against my max... and i beat him by 2-3 car legnths (1/4 mile). he kept with me off the line for a few seconds... but i pulled on him pretty quick.

i wouldnt have done it either, but there is just somethin about the way a BMW drives that is just great...

anyway... goodluck with the new bimmer man!
