My Phillips Bluevision fogs just came in today, I want to install them tonight or tommmorow when I have time, But I'm not exactly sure how to remove the Fog light housing, I was looking around down there and there is sort of a side piece that looks like it can be removed, but from reading searches thers supposed to be a screw that I need to remove first? It's a 95 SE...

Any advice would be appreciated
thanks

It's pretty easy. You first pull out the plastic tab that covers the inner (towards the middle, i.e. license plate) side of the fog light housing. Then you pop off the little piece of plastic that covers the screw. Then remove the screw, pull from the middle (license plate side) and the whole foglight comes out. Replacing the bulb is pretty straightforward after that. Be careful not to touch the glass part of the bulb, or you will burn out the bulb prematurely.

BTW, where did you order the Bluevision H3's from?? And what did it cost?

The BlueVision H3's are available from http://www.autooptiks.com for $35 plus about $3 shipping. That's where I'm going to get mine from. I found the 9004's at K-Mart for like $12/e.

more problems installing
Ok so I got off the first plastic piece, but underneath there, the screws are old rusted and filthy...

I cant get them off, I tried several screwdrivers, the more I try the more messed up the screw thread gets, like small pieces are chipping off...I included a pic here..

How the hell can I get these off?

Thanks

Looks like the screwdriver slots in the bolt head are stripped. Try using a socket.

Definitely use a socket and liberal amounts of liquid wrench or WD40. Also, once the screw is out, GENTLY wiggle the unit out. Mine had crap in the side inserts and I broke of part of the corner plastic (housing).

I soaked both of them in WD40 like 10 times, nothing happend....I'll try a few more times.
Is liquid wrench any different? Is it really much better? If so I'll try some...

Now I have to find a socket that will fit in there...

I think it is either an 8mm or 10mm socket. Soak it with WD-40, overnight and hope for the best in the morning.

I got one off and installed the fog, but the other wont budge at all...The same socket won't fit properly around it even though it opened the first one...
Then it got too dark so I'll try again tommorow..

WD40 seems to do absolutely nothing..

If the same socket doesn't fit over the rusted head, try scraping as much crap off as possible. If it is too eaten up by rust, as a last resort, you can always drill through the center of the screw until it falls apart. Clean it up. then replace it was the same size screw from your hardware store.

The same socket worked on one but not the other, its getting ridiculous..and WD40 does nothing at all.. I'm going to go now and try to drill it out and then put in another screw.
