How can I put a battery gauge in my car?
I love to sit in my Max and listen to music, even when I'm not going anywhere. It's a waste of fuel, though, and bad for the engine, to sit around idling for long periods of time while I do it.
If I had a battery power gauge, I could see when I needed to start up the car and charge up the battery a little.
Is there a way to get some kind of cockpit battery gauge, like on the pillar or center console or (idea) in-dash? Something that's not ugly and bad.
Well, let's start with the "Is there a way to get a cockpit battery gauge?" And then we'll figure out how to make it not ugly and bad.
Thanks,
Shayyadin

Few years ago I saw from a mail order catalog (I think it was Crutchfield) has a small device that store some backup juice to start your car if the battery is totally drian.
It connect to the positive terminal and I think it is a capacitor.

I too need a batery guage in my car. I know that with the system I am running I will soon need to know when to turn down the volume so the alternator can kick the batery power back up. Thanks for any help.
