Hey guys. I'm new here. I ahve had a 88 Escort GT. Modiefied it a lot. And now I'm in a new demension. A good one though ;-) But anyway, I want to Hook up a computer to my ECU for real-time montioring of engine specs like air/fuel ratio, and montoring gas consumption stuff like that. Now If I have a friend who can program software to read this info witha coule of things. I need to know what protocol the ECU uses and a list of it's command set so we know what commands do what. So in the end, I want ot be able to control the ECU with my laptop to change in realtime. Anyone done this? Anyone give me some help with any of this? If I can just get the core commandset info and protocol I'm sure I could be able to do this. PLease I need peoples' opinions and experiences. Let me know. Thanks
