adjusting tps

I have a 95 5speed and i pulled the code for the tps today. i am wondering what the resistance should be.

532 ohms tb closed and 4k ohms open i believe...

check to see if the resistance increases linearly as u open the throttle.. if there is a dead spot then u need to replace it...

i got like .4 ohms closed at 3 open, which of the 3 prongs should i be testing off of? positive on which and negative on which?

if ur getting that reading then ur measuring the correct prongs.... just like i said test it by starting with the throtte closed and slowly open it up and watch the resistance change on the volt meter.... too bad u have a digital one... if there is a dead spot then i would replace it..

ok, i didnt have any bad spots that i could tell, i got .5kohm closed, 3.8kohm open

reset the ecu and now no codes.. wtf? o well, hopefully i dont have to dish out the $60 yay!

its hard to see dead spots with a multimeter. lab scopes work prime for this kind of testing. but those are quite expensive...
