Drop Zone Struts

Hey guy, I've bin lookin for a set of new struts, and im leaning more towards the tokico blues. I want more a stock smooth feel, over performance. I came across these struts, Drop Zone Racing Struts. I've never heard of them. Anyone used them? know anything about them?

I've heard mixed opinions on their stuff. I'd say you're better off just sticking with the Tokico Blues.

No No No. those struts are crap. Why do you think there only on ebay and not on any other maxima site.

I would call DropZone and ask about warranty. The better companies have lifetime. So far I like the description since the struts were R&D for lowered cars, vs everything else out there were meant for OEM springs. It just so happens that the Toks and KYB's can handle the added stress from lowering springs, but they weren't intended to be used that way (Tok voids warranty if lowered more than 1.5") Anyways, tough to ask for an opinion about DZ cuz nobody really talks about it and as far as I remember, 1 person had a cracked spring which coulda happened w/any other brand.

do u have them on stock springs.....

i am monitoring this thread because i was thinking of buying the DZ spring and strut combo a couple weeks back... but i was kinda skeptical about the quality.... i just want a decent 2' drop without coilovers

Do NOT buy dropzone springs. Trust me on that one, i've seen a picture of them broken in 2 peices. Not something you want your spring to do. I can't comment on the struts, but they're probably crap too.

Let's get back on topic: STRUTS, not springs. Any updates, you give them a call yet?

DO NOT BUY DROPZONE

The car handles so much better with AGX struts and progress springs that it did on that garbage.

When I pulled the struts out after 2 years, they were blown and severly rusted

btw, when the spring broke it took almost 2 months and many phone calls to get them to replace it

The torn strut boot probably didn't help either. What's the white powdery stuff in the 1st pic?

The torn boot is on the front and it was the rear ones that blew, the white stuff is called snow

Do you have subs or extra weight in the rear? Is there rust in other parts of your car?

I'm dont really think that the quality of the struts is any good anyways, seeing i havent really heard much about them, but I just wanted to know if they are more of a stiffer ride, or more of a oem feel.

no subs or extra weight, whatever paint they used on the struts was put on pretty thin and it must be cheap because they rusted right through the paint really fast

Dang that sucks. Probably a major reason they're "affordable".
