Clock/spoiler questions
Hello from North Dakota. I own a 95 Maxima GXE, 5-spd. Purchased new in Oct. 94. Lately the clock display on the dash is very inconsistent. Some times it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it does work it's always the correct time, so I doubt it's a power supply problem. I checked with the local Nissan dealer (Bismarck) and they said a replacement clock is $210! A bit more than I think is necessary to tell time...although I don't want to use a double-stick-up clock either. I've checked local junk yards, but no luck finding a replacement. Any suggestions for fixing or replacing the clock will be greatly appreciated. Is it very hard to access the clock?
Q#2: I have a dealer-installed (but aftermarket) spoiler. A couple sections of lights (LED's?) don't light-up. I've already removed the light bar from the spoiler. Is it possible to purchase replacement light bars, or can the LED's be replaced. I'm thinking there's a back connection along the light bar itself, and am hoping that a cleaning will solve the problem.
Any and all help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated. THanks, daryl

Insert a small flat-blade screwdriver blade between the lower right hand corner of the plastic dashboard clock panel and the adjacent softer dash board. Slowly pry the panel up. Continue this at all four corners of the contoured panel until the metal snaps which anchor the panel are loose. Remove the panel by pulling outward and downward.
