reset the ecu, and didnt have the check engine light on previously, but after resetting ecu and check engine light as well, it wont go away. itll go away for like an hour of driving then it reappears... i didnt get any codes when counting the blinks either... help?

 

To make sure, I'd go to Autozone and get the code checked, you never know.

Hey happy4444 that means that there is a bad sensor or something is bad ,I get ghost codes but they go away after reset if it comes back it means that is true ( a bad sensor or something is bad) and not a ghost code .. Autozones check engine lights for free but for what ever reason it has to be 1996 and up ..

the blinks are the codes.

 

Doesn't have to be 96 and up, just has to be OBDII. They get confused when I ask for my 95, but just let them know it's OBDII and it's no problem.

 

i was getting 5 slow blinks and 5 fast, that came out to no code when i looked. so i reset the check engin elight and it went away, then it reappeared... il stop by auto zone and let u guys know

 

0505 is still a code. it is sometimes tripped by a voltage spike/drop. check your alternator and your battery.

 

now its 1447 lol i just got back from autozone and he deleted it. it was sum emissions code. idk hopefully i dont have anymore prob's

 

You're lucky that he deleted it, I've been told that it's illegal. BTW your car is nice!!!!

i have the same thing for 02 sensor.. comes back everyday too lazy to fix it

 

Sometime when you found the problem and replaced that part but the check engine light still not going away.. you might want to look around that problem part.. holes/pipe going in/out might be clog also..

 

rofl same thing happend to me, I asked my friend's manager to reset it and she said "no" so I asked him and he did it haha.
