It sounds like the same guy is stealing everything he can from your car. If I lived in Brooklyn I would definitely want a garage.

Sounds like you have a nice ride.

Well, if you're like most of us who take the time to come to forums like this, you love cars period. Sure, we all have our favorites (Maxima's/Nissans for most of us) but we still appreciate almost all other cars as well. Being a car lover means you constantly fight the demon of wanting something different from what you have. That's why modding is done too.

A few months ago I thought of trading mine in on a newer one, but just couldn't do it. And the thought of trading it in on something completely different made me feel even worse. Seeing someone else drive her off after selling her made my stomach churn when I thought of it.

So my solution was to buy an 05 Trailblazer. This way I get to drive a different car, and then when I come back to drive the max it feels newer again. Plus protecting my max from snow/salt played a part in my decision, but one of the main factors was that I couldn't let it go.

If you can afford it, maybe leasing a new speed6 for two years and keeping the max would be an option? That way you get to see if you REALLY want something different. If it turns out you LOVE the new car then sell the max and buy it after the lease is up. If it turns out you don't love it as much as you thought you'll be able to get out of it but still have the max.

Good luck.

I had a bad dream. Then I woke up and realized I hadn't sold my 4th gen and everything was OK!

Totalled my first 97 5spd almost three years ago. My rear end slid out as I was changing lanes doing 95, and my front end smacked the median. Went through an Integra Ls, 2 Galant VR4's, and one beater of a mk3 Supra. Traded my 2nd VR4 for another 97 5spd. Thought they were simple and reliable (which is why I got another one)- what I love. Then found about about the starting problems they have. Maybe I'll keep it, maybe not. The thing still pulls strong, no doubt, but it can be boring. Would like to move to an MR2, Sc300 or turbo mk3 Supra.

I'm considering selling my '98 SE within a month or so. Cost of repairing it is too much.

Yeah, a high-priced, far more rigid Maxima with RWD, forged aluminum fully independent multi-link suspension, completely different 6 speed, Brembo 4-piston calipers, ray's forged aluminum 20lb 19" wheels and near-perfect weight distribution. So not worth it.

Why buy an STi? It's only an overpriced 2.5RS.

lost mine in an accident. got an audi a4 quattro afterwards (bad decision)... the awd is great and it's luxurious as hell, but tiptronic is so far from a manual and i miss the maxima like crazy. i'm trading the a4 in for a 5spd '99 SE at the first opportunity.

When I get rid of my Maxima it will be because of the uncomfortable seats. I hate them, but otherwise I think it is a great car.

You think the Maxima seats are bad, try the new toyota camry. No leg support at all.

I'm just looking for the opportunity to sell mine. Need to have a third car in order to do so....it's pathetic.

My 240 currently doesn't have an engine, and is sitting in my garage 5 hours away from my college.
I drive to school multiple times per day, and need transportation. I can't afford having the kind of downtime to actively sell my Maxima without something else to drive as well.

I'm looking for any early to mid 90's Nissan, hopefully a Hardbody Pickup or Pathfinder that I can get for cheap and fix.

I have turbo parts sitting in my dorm room right now for my 240....

Damn, I was thinking of replacing the Maxima with the new Camry. Now I'll have to check it out.
