Vibrating sound in engine???

Vibrating sound in engine???

I noticed that after installing my Y-pipe i have a vibrating type of noise at about 3-5Rpm's of my maxima buddies said the problem is something touching the Y-pipe causing the sound but he forgot exactly what it was... has any1 one here ever had this problem or heard of this problem???

I had a similar problem, sounded like a bolt was rattling around in my cat when i hit about 3500rpm. It has since stopped happening, until i installed my cat back and i came back for a few more days, then stopped again.

yeah you could, or take it to a shop and have a mechanic look at it.

Any way you can get under there and shake it a bit?
It could be the first part of the b-pipe hitting the bar that stregthens the exhaust tunnel. If not it could be the y-pipe hitting the crossmember as the engine tilts while revving. What kind of y-pipe is it?

i could take it to a shop which is my next move but i thought it was something simple i could move

Ebay... made by JDM... sounds great i will definately try those option
