Slight problem on cold starts?

Sorry tittle might be slightly misleading. Anyway I thought I had somewhat brought my engine back up to decent standing when in the morning I started it up( it was kinda cold outside) and I got this wierd clicking noise( kinda like the one you hear when going up a hill on a roller coster of cource not as loud) I'm not shure at all what it is but after five seconds it goes away. Any suggestions (to what it is) are more than welcome. Thanks!

Could be your starter. Have someone stand outside by the engine when you start the car in the morning and try to pinpoint the noise.

Could be the timing chain rattling, then going away. Mine occasionally does this and goes away shortly after startup. Nothing to worry about.

how cold is cold? what grade oil and when is the last time you changed it? starter has no reason to click 5 seconds after the car has started up even if it is bad.

180K and it usually does it when it drops below freezing. I use royal purple 10w 40 full synthetic. could it be my water pump, I had just regreased the starter this summer
