PowderCoating Rims...

I was wondering... how much does this run for... ? Let's just they 16inch rims.. there I guess um.. forged aluminum... nothing fancy.. just powdercoated glossy black... Is it worth the money to make these rims look better? or should I just do the Poor Mans verison, and paint them myself?

Raul

Why dont you call a local powdercoating shop and ask them, or ask in the Texas regional section? Having someone on the other side of the country tell you how much they paid isnt going to help you at all.

Well there is a good write up in the how-tos on painting stock 16" wheels. If local places are too far away you could try it yourself.

When I had mine powder coated it ran a bit over a hundred a wheel.
Here in Austin the average rate seemed to be 100 per wheel. Mine cost a bit over the hundered per wheel because I wanted to keep my polished lip so they charged a bit more for the masking of the lip.
