Does Bosal make good exhaust products?

I need to replace my stock muffler and the pipe which connects the muffler from CAT to muffler. I think its called middle exhaust or something. I was looking at several parts stores online and they have Bosal as direct fit. I want to keep it as stock as possible, Does anyone here have experience with Bosal exhaust components? Are they any good? Other choice is Walker..

Haha .. i'm in exactly the same boat! Gotta replace the muffler and the mid-pipe. How much did you find the bosal parts for? I found the muffler for ~100 and the mid-pipe for ~150. Do you have an O2 sensor right after your cat, if you do you need the Bosal part number w/ the O2 sensor, and it's a bit more expensive than the Bosal part w/o the O2 sensor.

Bosal has lifetime warranty on muffler, but their warranty on the mid-pipe is only 2 years. I called them up and asked what it is made off (it is aluminized mild-steel). I also asked them how long they expect the mid-pipe to last, and the response from their guy was b/w 2 and 3 years. Considering my stock one lasted close to 9 years, that's pretty sucky!! You can get the mid-pipe from nissan (online) for 200 and change.

So, I think i'll get the Bosal muffler (hey it's lifetime warranty, if it's gonna get a hole in it in 2 years, i'll get them to replace it), and I'll get the mid-pipe from the dealer!

BTW .. how is your y-pipe bracket?? Mine is gone completely! will be replacing that as well.

I called up local parts store by my house and he said he can get me Walker one piece (after cat including muffler) for 140. That I think is pretty awesome price. Its one piece so if one things F's up you will end up replacing whole thing but its lot cheaper and he said Walkers have lifetime warranty on whole thing. You might want to look into that. I found bosal Muffler for around 98 shipped and mid pip for 79 shipped. All my brackets are gone. Right now the pipe is being held by coat hanger ..lol

I put a Bosal b pipe and muffler on mine. I expect it to last as long as I keep the car (2 or 3 more years). I just couldn't justify spending over $500 for a car that's near the end of it's useful life. I'd buy a nissan muffler though if I had to do it again because the Bosal sounds too restrictive - like a jet engine at WOT though fine at normal throttle. Fit was good - bolted right up.

Cattman b has a 22" resonator. Costs ~200-250 IIRC.

I have seen a few of the bosal/walker/brand x aftermarket b pipes in person. All are made pretty crappy, but they are cheap so thats what you get. The piping is thin, small, contain the most rediculous crimp bends in places they dont even need, cheap flanges, cheap resonators, and fit isnt that great. The stock pipe is also a huge piece of junk with its restrictave crimp behind the resonator, but its much better built. If performance, fit, or finish doesnt bother you get the cheapest one you can find. If you want something that will last longer and be an upgrade get a Cattman, Stillen, Warpspeed, or LSS/Budget and call it a day.

idk, instead of spending 100 bucks on a stock muffler, you can just get a Dynomax super turbo muffler. Its $50 and eventhough the name sounds stupid, its actually quiet, unless u step on it ofcourse. Then it makes a nice deep tone. B pipe wise, go for the budget ones, they for for ~150 bucks i think...
