Manual to Auto Swap

Anybody have any useful info? I don't think this has ever been done. Don't bother saying that it can't be done or to buy an auto if i want one.
Heres the deal i just bought a manual car that has a manual trans which is shot. I was planing on parting the car out but there is so little interest other then manual parts. I have multiple wrecked auto cars that i could use all the parts from.
So instead of investing around a $1000 fixing the manual trans i can sell the manual parts and install an auto trans with parts nobody wants to buy.
I would make more money doing it this way as well.

The only problem i see is the wiring. I can install a complete harness from an auto car which i think would be the easiest way. I would just have to make sure the donor car was the same year and options so there was no issues with harnesses matching up. I have had an identical auto car but cut the engine harness up last week.
Heres a list of things i think i would need.
auto flexplate
auto trans
torque converter
auto trans mount
axles
passenger axle bracket (I have heard the manual is different)
auto radiator or install an aftermarket trans cooler
shift cable
shifter assembly
shifter trim
tcm
ecu
maybe tps?
brake pedal
wiring harnesses

If you bought an auto trans that would be included.

I just took out my auto tranny I converted to a 5 spd. So I have a 300 pound hunk of metal sitting in my garage that my mom wont stop *****ing about. The only thing you need is a vehicle speed sensor.

Ok i have put some thought into this. The wiring has to be from a 97.The reson being is 95-96 both have diffrent airbag systems and the 98 has a digital odometer. So the fun part now is finding which harnesses need to be changed.

Well you would have to switch to an auto ECU which shouldn't be to hard to find becuase probably 75 perecent of maximas or i30s are autos. The connectors for a couple of things could probably be found at autozone or a nissan parts dealer. I talk to nissan cuase i called infiniti and theyre parts were normally more expensive I think cuase it says "infiniti".

Whatever man. I'll post wherever I wanna post. How about you help Rockford with the situation at hand instead of worrying about what I post? Just a suggestion.

Of course it can be done. You know what needs to be done. What year is the car you want to convert?

It's a 97 SE. The only thing that bothers me is the wiring. The rest is not a problem. I think i'm going to have to buy an engine harness from a 97 SE. Or try and mix and match harnesses which i don't want to do. My only other option is to use the wiring from my 98 gle. Then i would have to deal with abs wiring, bose wiring, seat airbag wiring buying a cluster and climate control and changing out all the heating components since i would no longer have maunaul climate. It would be auto. That is the most straight forward way but alot more work and possibly abs and airbag light.
