The Front Exhaust Tube Assembly is the component in the exhaust system which conveys exhaust gas from the exhaust manifolds to the Catalytic Converter. This part is often called the Y-pipe. There is an Oxygen Sensor mounted in each branch of the Y-pipe. The Y-pipe and the Oxygen Sensors are accessed from beneath the vehicle. You are interested in the sensor which is screwed into the front branch of the Y-pipe.
