Budget Catalytic Converter: Bullet style or OEM?

I'm finishing up my exhaust, and checking out cat's just to get it all done at once. I was looking at budgets website and there's two options (well more, but I'm looking at these two):

Bullet Style High Flow Cat, 2.0/2.5/3.0 Inlets (Part# CATxx01)
$80

OR

High Flow Cat, 1.75/2.0/2.25/2.5/3.0 Inlets (Part# CATxx04)
$90
$110 for 3.0 Inlet

Here's a link to budgets site:
http://lssexhaust.com/

Do the bullet style fit our cars? It's cheaper, and should I stick with a 2.5" Inlet?

(I'm going from stock to: CE Y-Pipe, Budget Cat, SP2) Stock tubing is 2.25" right? But stock cats are 2.5"?

not sure if those will fit but i know you should not get a smaller cat than what your stock one was or it will get wayyy to hot and sh*t the bed pretty quickly. i actually heard a story about a car that got a 'universal' cat put on that was smaller than the stock one and it was glowing bright red and burnt a hole in the floor.

best bet is to check to see if they have sizes/dimensions on their website and measure your cat and get the one thats the same size.

Looking at the pictures I'm probably going to go with the CATxx04, it looks the largest and closest to what I already have, and go with a 2.5" inlet since I believe that's stock, and it will line up with the rest of my exhaust

yea that'll probably work. thats the one i would get too if i were you. plus its $90 canadien, so itll only be like $80-85. theres a possibility you will get a code for the cat though since its high flow.

edit: ide stick with 2.5" too...3" is a little much for a naturally asperated engine

there really is no point in u changing ur catalytic converter, since the stock one is already 2.5 inches, which is the size of almost all of the aftermarket ypipes and b pipes in the market today for our 4th gens... so save urself a little money and just stick with stock

I would, but not only do I feel it would be easier to just redo the whole thing at once, I also will feel better with a fresh cat. I'm not even sure mine is fine, I've hit a few too many curbs, and my exhaust is all bent, falling off, and rusted through. In very sad shape

Currently everything does not line up, B-Pipe is bent out of shape, and I just want to junk the whole system and start off fresh

The cats. from LSS, you have to get welded on. I got mine from Warpspeed,
with flanges already welded on , so I could just bolt it up.
Don't use the gaskets he supplies, they burn up in a few weeks and cause exhaust leaks!
Get some metal ones from Nissan or a custom exhaust shop.

Give Dallas a call at Warpspeed:1-866-801-9338

i recommend budget LSS high flow cats they come with the flanges welded on and fitment is excellent. do not do with a bullet style or warpspeed.

When I got my y&b pipes, I asked Jody about the cat & she said that they weld them on. Unless they have different ones with flanges now.
