Where is the "inhibitor switch" located on 1997 Maxima?

My Maxima is throwing an "inhibitor switch" code and I have looked at the Haynes manual and can't seem to locate where this switch is located.

Anyone know where to find it? My mechanic had repaired my rear main seal and apparently had to disconnect some things to get to the rear main seal and now he can't seem to get rid of the error. He states that everything is connected correctly. Hmmm...

P.S. What is the purpose of this "inhibitor switch" and what will it ultimately affect if I can't get rid of the error?

The inhibitor switch is what stops you from grabbing a girl's butt in a bar.

When you drink, it gets shut off. Beer goggles ensue.

In for the real answer.
