CEL 1302. Random consistent blinking. Need help!
Ok, I have had the 1302 code for a while now. I decided to try and work on it today. I pulled the codes, got an 0304 and 1302. Ill talk about the 0304 later.
The 1302...the only info I could find on it was one like from the CEL sticky. If anyone could help me a bit more that would be great, as in that thread, some questions remained unanswered, so:
Do we have more than 1 MAP/Barro switch?
Is there more than one thing in the 1302 code?
Could the 0304 and the 1302 be tied together?
Someone metioned reaplcing the "BOOST" sensor, any comments?
Now to my blinking CEL. When I read the thread on the 1302, I looked into the bay, and found a loose plug. I plugged it in and then reset the CEL. I took it for a drive and the CEL started to flicker, random yet consistent, here is why. After some driving I found out that:
When RPMs > 3000 the CEL goes away
When coasting or braking, the CEL is always lit.
When heavy accelearting the CEL flickers pretty fast
When stopped the CEL is on and flickers off about every second
When normal autotragiv RPMS(<2500) the light blinks with no pattern at all
Half way through my drive I checked the CEL, same code. I reset it and before I pulled out of the parking space, it came back on. Does the pattern to the blinking mean anything? What could be entailed in this 1302 code?
If anyone can help me, that would be great.
Now, for the 0304 part. Ive had this for a while now, havent replaced it. I am looking to find out how long after the ECU is reset does the KS code come back? Like mileage or anything, or should it be like right after? Thats my KS question.

It sounds to me like it is the MAP and what they describe in the thread above.
As far as the 0304 goes, I have that same code on my car, and today when I went to Autozone I asked the tech there to run my car for codes cause I know the KS is a ghost code and wont trip the CEL. He said that he has had the KS code on his 02 Frontier since day 1 and he even called Nissan and they told him not to worry about it. They messed up with the ECU or something he said. However, I am getting a KS and labor for a decent price so I think I may just have it changed for the hell of it (my car has 109K miles assuming on original KS). Just my 0.02

haha funny you said that because I said to the guy that it comes on for a reason and he kept trying to convince me otherwise. I bought a new KS tonight actually and plan on installing it in the near future.
Yep, i changed mine at 120k. Arco premium must suck, because i still ping. I used shell premium and it doesnt ping at all now. I did the resistor bypass to test the gas. I used 76, mobile, chevron, no problems. Just stay away from arco. Of all the other brands i chose shell, its the cheapest of others. I ping half throttle about 85mph, doesnt matter what gas i use.
