Aftermarket not as big as I thought?

Im just searching for speciality maxima sites that are selling / making parts..performance wise. Im not really finding that much or should I say as much as I thought there would be? Or am I just not looking good enough I searched though the sponsors and links but is there some that arent on there? I know the car scene where I come from, some of ther best parts places arent easy to find.

Sorry if its a newbish type question, but just looking for someone more experinced to the 4th gens to chime in

Well that's untrue. Those were only two sites that closed down. Not good IMO either. Way over priced. Anyways this should answer your question.

eBay is always a good place to look, even though there are some positive aspects, negatives also exist.

there isnt much out?

they make alot! not as much as say a silvia or a 300zx, but there are boat loads of stuff out there. especialy if you search this forum alone. - not to mention http://maxmods.dyndns.org/ !

slap on some suspention mods(rear anti-sway bar, front strut bar, koni yellows (or the cheaper less feel good agx), a new bpipe and y-pipe, get a light weight udp and some nice light weight 15" rims (you could go bigger but what for - there is no really good reason - our brakes dont even need to be increased in size unless your feeding air into it via turbo or supercharger - which are also available (tho the turbo setup is all custom thing you have to make yourself).
and some nice tires should do to stick to the ground. the maxima is a great track/autox car, i wouldnt really drag it due to the lack of power and it being fwd - to much torque steer for me.

IMO, if you're looking for NA power, the place to start is the junkyard circuit. From this perspective, the maxima has a ton of aftermarket potential... ie 00vi and vq35 swaps...

What does this even mean? In relation to what, a DC2 Integra or a Volvo 744?

i was comparing to more popular tuner cars, civics, 240s; those kinds of cars where theres a after market replacement for every part on the car.

but i feel that there are enough things out there for our cars

LoL no not a old school volvo.

I dunno like internal engine goodies + stuff like that

or a site that has a butt load of stuff. they all seem pretty spread out

In no way am I saying there isnt any or enough parts available though, just thought there would be more support of it from the aftermarket

Customize your set-up, then optimize it. Not all parts in thr aftermarket are mad for Maximas. But you can make them work.
